An excellent alternative to allogeneic and autogenous bone.

Unlike other block bone substitutes, the Bonefill® Porous Block It is a bovine xenogeneic spongy bone block, which possesses unique characteristics essential for clinical success:[1]#lmat_page_translation_close_translate_span# Highly hydrophilic, which is the appropriate medium to allow for rapid blood absorption.[2]#lmat_page_translation_close_translate_span# Interconnected pores Its natural composition allows for remarkable incorporation into the receiving bed. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) images reveal the surface topography of the blocks, especially in relation to their appearance. microscopic, homogeneity and pore size. [3]#lmat_page_translation_close_translate_span# High resistance to the compression of uniformly distributed forces[ até 500kg/m²]#lmat_page_translation_close_translate_span#, which allows screwing.

Topographic analysis.

The microscopic structure of bone grafts Bonefill® Porous BlockAnalysis by SEM/EDS revealed that the product exhibits a typical structure of human cortical and cancellous bone, with interconnected pores, and that, after the physical-chemical process to which the raw material is subjected for manufacturing, it maintains the characteristic structure of this type of tissue. The presence of pores and the maintenance of the trabecular crystalline structure of the bone are fundamental factors for the success of the cellular phenomena of osteoprogenitor cell deposition on the graft, its resorption, and the formation of new bone in its place.

Clinical trial,  histological and microtomographic with a split mouth1

As conclusionIn the present study, bovine bone block grafts showed clinical, tomographic, and histological behavior similar to autogenous bone for the parameters evaluated, in addition to not stimulating the expression of pro-inflammatory cytokines in osteoblasts.1

Mechanical strength.

THE Bonefill® Porous Block It is a hard and rigid block. Its resistance to compression is very similar to that of natural bone, and it can be shaped with rotary instruments or drilled without fracturing, and can be fixed with screws or similar means.

Safe and Reliable.

THE Bonefill® Porous Block It is biocompatible. Unique processing methods remove bovine proteins and lipids. With a calcium phosphate ratio that simulates the composition of human bone and a low crystalline structure, the Bonefill® Porous Block It is accepted by the human body as a suitable structure for bone formation.

Hydrophilic.

The characteristics of Bonefill® Porous Block They allow for rapid hydration and consequently blood absorption, which is key to initiating the regenerative process in bone defects. Furthermore, in addition to allowing the accumulation of growth factors from the blood, they also provide an excellent three-dimensional framework, offering a suitable and favorable environment for bone regeneration and reconstruction.
